Who we are....

We're a tiny art and design studio in Driftwood, a small community nestled at the edge of the hill country of Central Texas.

Holy Family of the Springs produces original artwork in watercolor, chalk pastel and other traditional and digital media. We are a team of two. My husband David creates beautiful hardwood forms for some of our locally available art pieces. I am a painter and illustrator with over three decades of experience creating fine art, portraits, and concept art.

Our story....

Some years ago I realized the commercial art pieces I was creating for client marketing and video games would eventually be discarded or become obsolete. The effort and time invested in those works seemed misdirected, and I felt an insistent call to create images with lasting importance: Jesus and his life, Mary and the saints. And so I began Holy Family of the Springs studio, a project devoted to the creation of art pieces representing sacred subjects. The works we create are our ongoing answer to the call to evangelize using images.

Our Goal....

For thousands of years religious art has been created to inspire, to communicate and to teach. Our work aims to continue that tradition.

In his letter to artists Saint John Paul II challenged us: "The close alliance that has always existed between the Gospel and art means that you are invited to use your creative intuition to enter into the heart of the mystery of the Incarnate God and at the same time into the mystery of man."

Our Austin area friends can view our products "in the flesh" at Credo Cathoic Bookstore on Hwy 290 West. Folks in Lafayette can look for our cards, prints and prisms at Crossroads Catholic Bookstore at 4416 Johnston Street. If you don't find what you need in stock there, please visit our Etsy store, or reach out to us by sending a message through the Etsy store.

A portion of our profits benefit CFCA and other agencies helping children in need.
